The Great Comeback

Our council is honored to have received the Phoenix Award at this weekend’s Awards Banquet at the NH State Convention. This unique award has not been given out to a council for quite a while, but is distinguished in that it is reserved for recognizing a council that had been all-but-defeated. This was very much the case for our council as we experienced a rapid decline in activity during the COVID years and following the changes from Supreme that moved away from the traditional ceremony and regalia. As the Latin Mass Council, we take pride in standing for tradition even with respect to the traditions of the Knights of Columbus, and so the past few years have been quite challenging. At one point, our council was led by only a worthy handful of Knights who persisted in keeping our council alive. This past Fraternal Year is when we began our comeback. With new blood, we led the Council to a full recovery. We have thus far seen ~150% recruitment rate and are on-track for receiving the Columbian Award by the end of the year. Our activity is growing, and both our parish and the state council have noticed.

Vivat Jesus!
