Welcome to the Cor Ministry
at Saint Stanislaus

Men need authentic brotherhood.

Families need holy husbands and fathers.

The world needs courageous men to witness to Jesus Christ.

Open to All Men (18+).

What is Cor?

Latin for “heart”, Cor is a ministry of its own that equips Catholic men with the opportunities to establish Christ-centered brotherhood. Cor offers a flexible framework that focuses on three main needs of every Catholic man:

  • Prayer: A living relationship with God

  • Formation: Ongoing growth in faith and virtue

  • Fraternity: A brotherhood that strengthens and sharpens men

What does a Cor session look like?

There is a wide variety of Cor programs that have been developed to meet the needs of Catholic men in their parish. Our ministry began the “Into the Breach” program in November 2025. This program is a series of 12 sessions, each individually focused on specific topics (e.g., Masculinity, Brotherhood, Leadership, Fatherhood). These sessions generally follow this format:

  • Opening prayers, food & socializing

  • Ministry announcements

  • Formation (focused video content & small group discussions)

  • Scripture & Prayer

  • Call to Battle (monthly challenge for men to focus on)

  • Closing Prayers

When does Cor meet?

Our ministry currently meets every second Monday of the month in the parish basement from 7-9pm. Sessions will be posted on the Calendar.

Currently scheduled sessions are as follows: Nov 10, Dec 15, Jan 12, Feb 9, Mar 9, Apr 13, May 11

What should I bring?

Just your heart and the willingness to build true bonds of brotherhood. But if you have a rosary and would like to bring it for prayer, that’s nice too.

Depending on the programming that the ministry is actively going through (e.g., Into the Breach series), some additional materials may be provided to Cor members, such as a study guide. If you will be frequently attending Cor sessions, these materials will be yours to keep and you should bring them with you each session.

You can also access the Study Guide digitally here.
